I love finding out about the history that’s all around us. What used to be here? Who lived and worked here? What were their stories?
On this walk, I’m looking for 3 old buildings from the late 1800s – Chilton Farm, Chilton Hall, and Hill House Hospital – all in Stowmarket, Suffolk, UK.
A Farm, a Hall, and an infectious diseases hospital. Have they gone? Or are they hidden? What are the stories of the people who were there years ago?
If the building has gone, are there any traces of it left on the ground?
